sorry for not replying to the original message but I am not subscribed
to the list. I fully support Damien's application. Damien is one of the
few active contributors in the pkg-java group which is maintaining about
400 source packages today. He has already contributed to many source
packages like

His packaging skills are up to what is expected from a full Debian
developer. The packages he requests sponsorship for are in such a good
state that they can directly be uploaded without the need for any
further changes.
