Hi, I support his application to become a Debian maintainer, because Daniels'packaging skills are excellent. I basically never had to help him, nor make him redo anything, since his packages were always well done and in a very good shape. He's so confortable with his work and Debian procedures that he's able to open a bug like #528003 on his own while packaging a new program. He also picked up old packages and done a good job putting them in a better state than they were before, like pekwm. His social behaviour is just perfect, totally respectful of others. He's also patient, never showed any bad feelings and IMHO proved that he's very serious and that his interest in Debian is real and consistent.
