I'm 27, French, and live in the UK. During the day I work as a software
engineer specialized in embedded systems.

After a first unsuccessful try with Linux in 97, I came back to it in 2000
and actually discovered Debian in 2001, when working with other students
who were porting Linux to hppa (I wasn't part of this project). I fully
switched within the following 6 months and started doing packaging for
internal use at University in April 2002. In May 2003 I read an article
about Bookcase, a program which was not available in Debian but I was
interested in, so I decided to package it, start contributing back to
Debian and started the NM process in July.
Since that I've also become maintainer of Amaya (the package, not the
maintainer), leading to a lot of work with upstream to try and clean up
their build system.

Today, every single machine I own runs Debian, including one for testing
the Hurd and kFreeBSD ports.

2. Account Data
---------------
   Account: regis
   Forward-Email: regis@boudin.name

3. Philosophy and Procedures
-----------------------------
Regis a good understanding of Debian's philosophy and procedures
and answered all my questions about the social contract,
DFSG, BTS, etc. in a good way. Regis committed to uphold the SC and DFSG
in his Debian work and accepts the DMUP.

4. Tasks and Skills
-------------------
Regis has a good understanding of the technical side of Debian.
Regis is maintainer of amaya, tellico and libbtparse.
All packages are in good shape.
Regis also answered my other questions regarding T&S without problems
and provided patches for RC bugs.

5. Recommendation
-----------------
I recommend to accept Regis as a Debian Developer.

   Comment from me
------------------
Regis NM did start somewhere in 2003. There was a period of him being on
hold, in 2006 we did continue the process, which used some time, but
most of the delay up to now is, again, my fault. Seems like all the few
NMs left in my AM queue do have some huge level of patience available
somewhere...
