I've been programming for about 15 years in a lot of different languages, and I'm the author of one book about regular expressions (in french). I've been using Debian everyday for 4 years now, and I enjoy it's stability (even for sid) and the responsiveness of it's package maintainers. That is why I wish to contribute further to Debian. I am currently maintaining two packages for Debian, one of which I did write. I wish especially to get involved with Ruby, to provide Debian Ruby programmers with a good set of libraries. Moreover, I already packaged for myself a whole bunch of programs (written by me or by others) which are not yet part of Debian and which would be of interest to the Debian community.
