Re: two rejections
Hi,
I have been "rejected" as a DD. I wasn't happy about it and I would
have preferred the term "deferred" which I feel better reflects debian's
policy. The person who communicated the rejection to me advised me to
apply later on when the package I maintain makes its way into debian.
It is always painful to receive a rejection notice. If the terminology
were altered to more accurately reflect debian's policy I think that
would help the mood and tenacity of those who receive them.
I will apply again, which I think should be unnecessary since I am just
re-entering my info into a database, and I will continue to work as much
with debian packages and with debian in general as possible, but I could
see where a slightly modified rejection message might have encouraged me
more than the discouraging rejection.
Best regards,
Jeremiah
