Package: jackd2
Version: 1.9.21~dfsg-2
Severity: minor

Hello!

I've recently found out about alsa_in and alsa_out, which seem to be
useful tools to support additional sound cards.

But where's the man page for these two tools?
There seems to be [one] in Debian/bullseye (jackd2/1.9.17~dfsg-1)

[one]: <https://manpages.debian.org/bullseye/jackd2/alsa_in.1.en.html>

But, apparently, package jackd2 somehow lost this man page since the
time bullseye was released as stable...

Was this man page intentionally dropped?
Why? I cannot find any trace in /usr/share/doc/jackd2/changelog.Debian.gz

Or was the man page dropped by accident?
If so, please re-enable it. The man page seems to be included in
the [source] package, but not in the binary package:

  $ dpkg -L jackd2 | grep man/
  /usr/share/man/man1
  /usr/share/man/man1/jackd.1.gz

[source]: <https://salsa.debian.org/multimedia-team/jackd2/-/tree/c5c9574ebe6045ebdb869ff990ebd224e85d8126/man>

I am not sure whether this fix is considered an [appropriate] change during
the hard freeze: maybe it is a documentation fix?!?
In case it is not, it's anyway OK, if you fix this bug after bookworm is out.

[appropriate]: <https://release.debian.org/testing/freeze_policy.html#appropriate>

Thanks for your time and dedication!

   * Team upload.
   * Import Vagrant Cascadian's reproducible builds patches:
     - Add 0001-man-fill_template-Use-numeric-year-month-date-for-ma.patch.
       Without this patch, manpages may contain a locale-translated month name,
       as well as a different date based on the build environment timezone.
       (Closes: #1035331).
     - Add 0002-man-fill_template-Use-UTC-date-to-avoid-differences-.patch.
       This patch solves variance in generated man page date stamps introduced
       when man pages generated in different timezones are compared to each
       other.
     - Add 0003-man-fill_template-Use-POSIX-compatible-comparison.patch.  When
       built in an environment where /bin/sh -> bash, all of these manpages are
       built and included in the package. When /bin/sh -> dash, the manpages
       that users depend on are absent from bin:jackd2.
       (Closes: #1035329, #1035308).
