I am not proposing to remove this package; instead I was proposing of having MIA team involved and (orphan this package) / (have other maintainers taken this package care of) since monitoring packages that receive little care is also part of QA/MIA Team's job. I thought stops might be eligible to such arrangement since it received no upload in the past 11 years, which is No.3 oldest (!) package in the Debian archive. The reproducible-builds project as mentioned above is also another reason of having the package rebuilt. My personal idea is that packages in Debian should ideally be rebuilt every few years (or at least definitely every 10 years) since the packaging technology and .deb package formats are all evolving. I'm happy to provide with any kind of help that you might find necessary (including NMUs) but a concent from previous maintainers / uploaders will make the procedure more smoothly. -- Regards, Boyuan Yang
