Good news: I still have a Freerunner running Debian.
Bad news: It runs a weird mixture of package versions, as the current
(as of strech I think) libc6 would need a newer kernel than what's,
at least to my knowledge, available. And with libc6 on hold, the
amount of upgradable packages declines rather sharply.

Details:
The kernel is 2.6.34-20101212.git049b71de.
libc6 is on hold at version 2.19-22 (slightly newer than what's in
oldstable: 2.19-18+deb8u10, older than what's in stable:
2.24-11+deb9u1)

So if you want to have any luck you probably can only try to run
oldstable/jessie. Which is not very future-proof ...
