Current platforms I know (N900, OpenMoko) have libgtkstylus in global
GTK_MODULES, so it might be good to check that -- it's unlikely someone will
read the docs to learn about your variable.

Not sure about GTK3 stuff, but I suspect they give a way to query whether
this emulation is active.
