In case you don't receive an offer, you could alternatively rsync the
debian/project/trace/mirror.hostname.tld file every once in a while
(ten minutes? would that really be a long wait? :) and check its mtime.
Whenever the file is updated, the mirror has finished syncing.
Like Philipp said, you would need to ensure that the mirrors actually
used by the buildds are up to date. Not just the one in use by
wanna-build.
