Thank you everybody for your suggestions. I've replaced the CMOS battery, checked my syslog, disabled ipv6, and all looks good. I was even able to get Gentoo to netboot, just not Debian/SSH.
My next step will be to get a null serial cable so that I can try this from another machine (my BeagleBoard cable has a special terminator). I leave tomorrow until the 17th, so I'll try it then. If I figure out what the issue is, I'll post here for posterity.
