Hi all, as the subject says I'm looking for a 2.6.XX-Y-r5k-ip22 kernel, atm I'm running % uname -a Linux peachum 2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-r4k-ip22 #1 \ Sun Jan 11 07:31:04 UTC 2009 mips64 GNU/Linux every now and then a kernel bug shows up on the console and during dpkg --configure --pending I see some SEGVs. Before looking into the details I seem to remember that similar faults were gone after installing a better suited kernel. Before the dist-upgrade I ran % last | grep r5k-ip22 | head -1 | cut -d' ' -f 7 2.4.22-r5k-ip22 One thing that puzzles me is the mips64 in uname -a, afaict the Indy is a 32 bit machine. Before setting up a toolchain for X-compiling the kernel, I'd be glad to be pointed to a working 2.6 kernel; the current "configure pending" seems to hang now when trying to start klogd. Waiting for the . for >5 minutes - I'll reboot as soon as this message is sent :-(. Thanks Siggy -- Please don't cc: me when replying on the list. bsb-at-psycho-dot-informationsanarchistik-dot-de or: bsb-at-psycho-dot-i21k-dot-de
