Shutdown with HALT on a SGI O2

Hi!!

Recently I bought a Ellipse UPS and now my SGI O2 (R5000) is powered by the UPS.

I know that the O2 defaults to boot up when the power is restored, but
my problem is with the shutdown.

Despite I configured /etc/default/halt to 'HALT' and I do a 'shutdown
-hH', Debian powers off the O2, and since the host is down when the
powers off, when the power is restored the O2 doesn't boot again until
I physically press the POWER ON button.

Basically: ¿How can I do HALT instead of power off in the SGI O2?

Thanks.
