I do not know if ARM and MIPS are comparable, but currently I have a
ARM922T running with 266 MHz and for some days gotten a NXP PNX6712 (a
SmartPhone Chip based on a ARM926-EJ with 312 MHz) and it is not what I
want. But of course, the PNX can run as "Co-Processor" (GSM, Video,...)

OK, there is the Loongsoon MIPS64 CPU (frst entirely developed/made in
China) which run with 600MHz and use a 10" and 12" display like the
"eeePC" but with bigger display.

And no, this µ-Laptop does not fit my needs and robustness.

So can you recommend an Of-The-Shelf MIPS CPU which could run as an
industrial Table-PC and/or Low-Energy Workstation? I have this require-
ment, because I am running entirely on SolarEnergie.

Also I need Evaluation Board and Development kits for the CPU.

Note: I have gotten an Aoyoue 720 InfraRed Welding System (price new is
2000€, but on eBay it was arround 400) which mean, I can solder
       BGA Packages now... ;-)

This mean, I can compare performance, IF I get a MIPS64 Evaluation board
for testing...

And Last-Not-Least, my biggest requirement is, that it fit the DFSG,
meaning ANY software and/or drivers MUST be availlable in "main"
otherwise the project would no be successfull. (at least for me)

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
