[OT] Which MIPS CPU? (Hardware Development)

Hello *,

currently I am collecting informations about ARM/MIPS CPUs to build an
industrial table computer. The currently most performant ARM is a
ATM1176JZF-S based one from Freescale or Samsung with ~533MHz.

So this woulöd be the limit for NOW.

OK, I now, MIPS are availlable in 600 MHz and 800 MHz versions but can
anyone tell me WHICH manufacturer sell Of-The-Shelf CPUs?

Note: My table computer will be equiped with TWO 7.4V/4Ah Li+ accus
from which I like to get an autonomie of 336 hours in standby
and 8 hours in action including a 10" TFT display... Also it
will have an open Bus for I²C/CAN/1-Wire plus other features
       not found on normal Laptops/PCs.

Most important thing is, it must entirely work with software
which fit the DFSG. No "contrib" of "non-free" required.

Good, I need at least an Evaluation Board plus 2-5 CPUs for my
experimental PCBs.

Note: I have gotten am used InfraRed Welding System Aoyue 720 from
eBay for 350€ which would normaly cost arround 2000€.
Better would be, if i can get a Aoyue 9000 but NEW it cost
       10.000€. -- Good-Night!

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
