Re: Qube2700 / new install of Martin's Debian -- (2700's have no serial port)



For the record: the Qube 2700 was the original Cobalt Qube with only a single Ethernet port, and one PCI slot. (Mine has an ISDN card in it). Sounds like sniffing the MAC probably is a good plan here.

Yup, you missed one option indeed: Establishing a link to the serial
console to see what's going on :)

And another, read the MAC off the sticker on the Qube (if still
present) and set up a reservation on your DHCP server for that at a
known address.
