This patch is for gcc; not binutils.  Is this appropriate patch for
binutils?

BTW, did you try the latest gcc+binutils as David suggested in that
thread?

This is long-standing problem, so I think it's OK to add "tags:
sarge-ignore" if you want to mark as serious.
