severity 274738 serious thanks as seen in the buildd logs, gcc-3.4 now fails to build from source on mips/mipsel. the patch proposed in http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2004-10/msg00325.html tries to work around the problem, but it was suggested, that binutils itself should be fixed. http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2004-10/msg00508.html
