What's the problem? I presume the machine which you refer to is a Lasat Masquerade. On Mon, Feb 09, 2004 at 05:46:52AM -0500, Nathanael Nerode wrote: [Debian needs more buildds - in particular on mips and mipsel] Here several issues come together. I can only speak for mipsel firsthand, though. We originally had two mipsel buildds (keeping up quite well), of which one is currently mostly unavailable due to instabilities. First suspect was a broken fan, but there seems to be another hardware-related problem which is not clear yet. Florian Lohoff is looking into this.
As the maintainer of the port to these machines perhaps I can help somehow? What are the demands on a buildd? I have two of the same machines here, one of which I develop the kernel on and the other which I run as my mail/web... server. Perhaps we can come to some arrangement which allows you to use (some of) the capacity of these machines. I have also some Lasat Masquerade II's which are very slow (133MHz)
but which could perhaps be used - slow is possibly better than nothing? /Brian
