System reboots with Console Cable Connected

Hello,

I have an I2 running Debian MIPS. I have a console cable that I leave connected to another Linux box for terminal access. I have found that when I reboot the Linux box that sometimes the I2 reboots as well. It's not a clean reboot either, after the Linux box comes up and I connect to the I2 I often find it doing a fsck. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this?

Thanks,

Jason
