indigo2 debian install: tftpboot hangs at welcom screen



I am trying to install a debian 3.0 on an indigo2 and get blocked at
 the first screen of the installer...

I got a correct kernel boot (see below) but I cannot "press"  the  enter
"button" at the welcome script: console seems inactive even if it seems
to be correctly detected:

I tried specifying console=ttyS0  to force, but this does not help...
