Gdb problems on r5k indy running sid
Hi,
after a clean install of Debian followed by a dist-upgrade to sid
on my r5000 indy I'm new to linux on mips.
Since emacs-21.2 segfaults during startup from a xterm (bug reported),
I wanted to use gdb for post-mortem debugging - but alas, even when
called as gdb --version it hogs the CPU,
Any hints?
Remote debugging using gdbserver on the Indy w/ gdb on a x86 box via
tcp/ip doesn't work either - both programs seem to disagree on the
protocol, the host debugger says "Illegal hex digit 59" (;?) and drops
the connection.
In case it matters:
% dpkg -l gdb libc6

Any help is greatly appreciated.
TIA
