As on http://www.debian.org/ports/mips/ there is nothing said about xdm, I let you know that it seems to crashing on Indy with kernel message Got a bus error IRQ, shouldn't happen yet in ip22-int.c:indy_buserror_irq, line 289: (lots of numeric info) which repeats until you press power button.
