Bootstrapping Debian-MIPS

OK, I've got my DECstation 2100 up and running with Karel VanHouten's RedHat
root filesystem (and fed him the kernel patches that that made it work!), so
what's the best way of upgrading that to Debian ?

I've looked on the sites listed on the project page and the only base*tgz files
seem to be big-endian. I suppose I could download a hatful of .deb files and
manually unpack them but bear in mind the ponderous state of internet
connections in Britain :-(

Thanks,

patrick
