Okay, I was able to get rid of some more warnings, bit this one is truly 
driving me crazy:

W undeclared-elf-prerequisites (libc.so.6 libcairo.so.2...)

Obviously, I have to declare those somehow. However, the description 
that a missing "Depends:" field in the control file was missing was not 
helpful. Quite the contrary: During my run of "debuild", I see this:

dpkg-genchanges: warning: unknown information field 'Depends' in input 
data in general section of control info file

How can I fix this?
