What you need to address first is initial-upload-closes-no-bugs.
You need to file an ITP on the wnpp pseudo package where you justify why you want to intoduce this package to Debian.
There is already an abundance of mp3 players in Debian, so be very precise about that.
That ITP is to be referenced in the changelog (Closes: #ITP).
