Please have a look at the changes that I have pushed and comment if you do not understand a particular change.
There is one thing that I would like you to address in d/copyright: Please relicense debian/* to LGPL-2.1+ so that the 
patch in there is not stricter than the project license, which might make the binaries GPL-2+ even though they are 
LGPL-2.1+ licensed themselves.

All in all this looks good to me now.
Please untag moreinfo when you have decided on the relicensing.
