Hello,

the same happens in Ubuntu, really :)
You fix the bug in the Ubuntu development release, and then you ask to SRU
for the released ubuntu versions, with the ~ubuntufoo.bar extension :)>I've uploaded a new version with a target of unstable.

and I have sponsored it :D
>what is the fields for filing against release.debian.org and a target of "p-u" ?

$ reportbug release.debian.org
choose stretch-pu (number six on latest reportbug)

package name: budgie-desktop
put the latest version:
10.2.9-2+deb9u1
and then write the email.

If you don't have reportbug configured to send emails you can copy-paste to a new
email and close it.

BTW, please also prepare an experimental update, and when the update reaches testing
you will be able to move the new experimental version into update too :)

does this sound good to you?

(I mean, in 5 days you will be able to upload the fixed new version in unstable and let
it reach buster)

G.
