I have uploaded a new version (0.1.2-5) [1] to d/mentors which I believe
fixes these issues.

For the moment a specific entry in d/rules removes the extra license
file, but since the standard R CDBS config removes some similar named
files (LICENSE.txt) I'll investigate filing a bug to remove this
combination too.
