Only a note: you replied only to me. Often in debian's MLs there are a lot of people cc'ed on emails. When replying is considered polite keeping the cc list, if you don't know who you are dropping from that list.
Anyway, I'm not a DD, but if you are in touch with a DD you can avoid most of the passage enumerated in the page I linked and contact him. In fact, you should contact him before filing a rfs.
