the line I'm suggesting in dep9 is:
if fgrep -q '^exact entry previously added by update-inetd$' /etc/inetd.conf \
which is not really concerned with whether the line is disabled or not. I
think both cases are valid for removal, as long as they have not been locally
modified (hence the '^...$' pattern).
-x is a fine suggestion.
