As you probably know, dbs system package the upstream tarball, without unpacking it, *inside* the orig.tar.gz. It's not "the good way" to package simple package like cronolog and removing dbs build dependency was a bug of cronolog. So, I have used upstream tarball to make a new orig.tar.gz (it's the same file as the tarball inside the tarball from the debian archive) Sadly, there is no new upstream version. So, it seen the archived tarball should be replaced if we want to remove dbs dependency. But I'm not an expert (maybe one day :-) ).
