This theme was discussed some weeks before. There was said the main problem is, if you change the source name you begin with a new package. All infos about the (old) package stay inside debian until this package will be deleted. With the beginning of the (new) package it has to start in the NEW queue and then it is a new package without any history. Fondest regards, Joachim Wiedorn
