* You've made a lot of changes that should be documented in debian/changelog. 
"New upstream release" and "New maintainer" isn't enough.

* The Debian diff is huge due to the patch to remove mod_gsoap for Apache 1.3. 
Does it have to be removed or can you patch some Makefile so that it doesn't 
try to build it? Otherwise I think you should consider repacking the upstream 
tarball without it.

* Ignore the warning about misc:Depends being unknown. You should not create 
debian/substvars yourself.

* There's an rm -f command without arguments in debian/rules.

* Build-Depends: debhelper (>> 4.0.0) doesn't match debian/compat (5).

* Please fetch current versions of config.guess and config.sub before running 
configure and remove or restore them in the 'clean' target. The old package 
fetched them in the 'clean' target, which is wrong.
