switched from autotools to waf

Dear mentors,

I am trying build library written in Python, this library was already build before switching from autotools to waf.
I got also old debian/rules (attachment) file which I'm trying edit for waf.  
Now I am getting this for dpkg-buildpackge -S:

dh_clean 
 dpkg-source -b slv2-0.6.2
dpkg-source: building slv2 using existing slv2_0.6.2.orig.tar.gz

dpkg-buildpackage: failure: dpkg-source -b slv2-0.6.2 gave error exit status 1


Can somebody check this file and advise me please?
I am not familiar with Python and waf.
