Hi,

Although there is no direct equivalence, you can have a look to the
systems biology page of the Debian Med project on our wiki:

http://wiki.debian.org/DebianSystemsBiology

Many of these tools are as good with sociology as with biology.

You are of course most welcome to join our team to package them :)
