I know allready...

Some peoples had ask me to code GUI's for existing console
tools for peoples, using only a WindowManager without and
GNOME and KDE stuff.

Many tools/GUI's can be realized in BASH and Xdialog...

What about something which show under X all installe Packages
(and optionaly the version) by installation date/time?

Unfortunatly I have not Internet @home and my Server is
Off-Line but I hope it will come back in November with all
Packages upgraded and more userfriendly.

Note:  I hate the new <mentors.debian.net> since it does
       not more work with scp.
