This work flow is kind of weird from the perspective of uploading a
package to Debian. When you upload the package to Debian, the
.orig.tar.gz should be the official version released on the web site. If
you want to do packaging work before the release and contribute patches,
that's great, but for the final package for Debian, generally one waits
for the final release and then packages it.
