Maybe mine is a *special* necessuty!... ;-)
In fact it would not be sufficent

Debian Policy Manual, chapter 7.2

Thanks, I do realize this is the best solution. I didn't remember this
problem with woody, but maybe it was due to some lucky circumstancies.
