how to start a program in xdm

Hi , all

I sent this email to xdm's mantainer. But mayber someone can help me :)

Im XBanner's  mantainer .
To configure xbanner, I need to put one line in /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup,  I 
know that
Xsetup was deleted from xdm package.

But, what I need to do ?   where can I put a line to start xbanner
and to reload when xdm is restarted ?
