Installation of Type1 fonts
Dear developers (already DD or not)!
I am looking for a list/howto/explanation on what is useful when
installing type1 fonts for X11.
There is
. dh_installxfonts and /etc/X11/fonts/Type1/$(package).scale
Ok, this is absolutely necessary I would say.
. dh_installdefoma and $(package).defoma-hints
Hmm, defoma seems to me really a bit out-of-date in the sense that
I don't see any use for it. Activating a font for fontconfig should
be enough to get it working with most applications in Debian, sin't
it?
. fontconfig: should I call fc-cache -s after installation of fonts?
What else could be useful.
Thanks a lot and all the best
Norbert
