Nothing is stopping a random sponsee from giving you a diff that used
-a already. You really should be looking through the diff to see
exactly what patch is going to be modified.

Dropping non-free would set us back at least, what, 300 packages? It'd take
MONTHS to make up the difference, and meanwhile Debian users will be fleeing
to SLACKWARE.
