|
| New Maintainers' Guide gives you a hint in chapter 2 section 1:
| Choose your program[1].
| However package created by running procedure described in NMG could be
| a good done package, it cannot be guaranteed. If you want your package
to be
| added to Debian repository you should read at least two other
documentations:
| - Debian Policy Manual[2];
| - Debian Developer's Reference[3].
|
| The last one provides information about creating new packages in chapter 5
| section 1: New packages[4]. ITP bug is described here.

I think my mail mail was a bit unclear.
This ITP-bug seems to be for maintainers, I am a developer of LAM but I
am no Debian maintainer and also did not plan to become one.
I am just looking for an existing Debian maintainer who checks my
package for policy violations etc. and maintains it for me.

Or do I have to become an official maintainer before?

Greetings,
Roland
