Error on dpkg-buildpackage

Hi all! Somebody can say me what is happening? I'm trying to build a
.deb and it's generating this error when I run dpkg-buildpackage:

--prefix=/usr --mandir=\${prefix}/share/man
--infodir=\${prefix}/share/info
/bin/sh: line 1: -g: command not found
make: ** [config.status] Erro 127

This is second package that I try to build and generates this exactly
error. what it must be made?
