I'm not an expert, but how about pointing out that you're intending to adopt the
orphaned package since and that you have added the (previously lacking)
build-dependency thus closing all bugs for since. Possibly it might be worth
mentioning whether you've successfully compiled in a chroot (e.g. with pbuilder) so
you're sure that there aren't any non-build-essential build-dependencies besides
debhelper and whether it's (approximately) lintian clean.
