The entries from by debian/rules file are this :

Under "config.status: configure", all on one line:

./configure --disable-rpath --host=$(DEB_HOST_GNU_TYPE)
--build=$(DEB_BUILD_GNU_TYPE) --prefix=/usr
--mandir=\$${prefix}/share/man --infodir=\$${prefix}/share/info
--enable-gconf-source=xml::/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/

and under "install: build" :

chrpath -d src/drivel

src/drivel is the location of where the binary is built to.
