Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the preferred way was to use an
existing original tarball, not generate a new one with dh_make.
And I don't know if dh_make restores the original user, mode and
timestamps of the files in the original tar. I remember dimly having
problems with that and gpg-signed upstream tarballs.
