Kopete Now Listening Plugin

Hi,

I am currently in the process of packaging Kopete. I ran into the following
problem:

Kopete has a "Now Listening" plugin which advertises songs that you are
currently playing to people on your contact list. It does so by querying
noatun and xmms, whichever of both is running and has a new song. This, of
course, requires xmms-dev and causes the whole package to depend on xmms in
turn. (when using dh_shlibdeps)

Most people won't want to install xmms just for Kopete, because either they
don't use the plugin at all or they want to use it with noatun.

These are the options Sean Perry (my sponsor) and I have come up with:

- - remove xmms from the dependency list and move it to suggests (which is not
handled by apt)
- - create a separate package for the plugin which depends on xmms (which in
turn poses the question whether to create separate packages for all plugins)
- - leave the dependency on xmms

What do you think?
