Splitting a pkg
Hi deb-folks
It's time to split my doc-html-w3 pkg (a doc pkg of about 8MB).
My first idea was to use the same source pkg and split binary pkgs on
a per-year base. But I see a problem: if I modified the current
year pkg (ie latest 2002 recommends only) I need to change the
source pkg version and this implies an upgrade of all the pkgs
even if indeed I changed only one of the binary pkgs.
This is obviusly the wrong thing to do.
So, I need to split source pkgs also.
Is this the only way to do this currently?
What about binary uploads only?
