Greetings; I'm looking for a sponsor (and at some stage an advocate, but first things first) for an adoption of the xcdroast package, recently orphaned by Ishikawa Matsumi. I've been using Debian since mid-slink, and have been making small contributions throughout (bug reports, patches, stack traces, etc., as I came to them.) I've done a fair amount of basic Debian packaging, especially for particular work-related clients. My packaging of 'acme' is being sponsored by Bastien Nocera (the upstream), but since he's not a habitual -mentor I don't wish to impose further on his time. The preliminary packaging job is at http://devin.com/debian/ . It fixes bug #148475, and fixes fuzz in the debconf templates. It's not yet suitable for upload -- there are some obvious further problems with the template verbiage and quite a few old filed bugs that can be closed or should be looked into. Feedback would be most welcome, though. Thanks. -- Devin \ aqua(at)devin.com, 1024D/E9ABFCD2; http://www.devin.com Carraway \ IRC: Requiem GCS/CC/L s-:--- !a !tv C++++$ ULB+++$ O+@ P L+++
